Practical, Professional Blu-ray Disc Authoring.

Blu-ray Authoring Workflow with DoStudio

What parts of the Workflow does DoStudio handle?

Disc Setup
The Disc setup involves specifying the CMF formatting requirements, entering your Disc ID, and other details.

Menu Creation
Professional Blu-ray Discs feature "Pop-up" menus that float over the video playing in the background. In DSA, you import your menu element graphics from a layered Adobe Photoshop file and use Actions to assign Navigation interactivity such as showing and hiding various menus, and Playback behaviors such as playing or pausing a chapter.

Playlist Setup
Setting up your Blu-ray disc Playlist is not unlike setting up your title and chapter structure for DVD. Using DSA, you import your primary Video and Audio elements and assign them to a Title. If your title has chapter points you enter those as timecode numbers.

Compile your Blu-ray Disc
With your Menus authored and your video structure organized in your Playlist, you are now ready to compile your Blu-ray Disc. During the compile process, DSA multiplexes your video and writes out the BD-J code that will comprise your final disc. You can use a softplayer such as Corel WinDVD (Developer edition) or Arcsoft Total Media Theater to preview and test your work.

Formatting
The final stage of the BD Authoring process is formatting your cutting master for replication. DoStudio supports BDCMF v. 1.01
